I forgive you — Man United's Harry Maguire pardons Ghanaian politician despite disparaging remarks
Manchester United defender Harry Maguire showed an admirable spirit of forgiveness as he reacted to Ghanaian politician Isaac Adongo, apologising for the ill remarks he made about the England international.
What happened
He called Mr Bahumia an economic Maguire, implying that the politician sabotages the country's economics, and Maguire is accused of doing so at the Manchester United defence.
However, the centre-back has returned to top form; Mr Adongo is privy to this change, and he made sure to apologise to the former Leicester man during a recent parliamentary meeting, tagging him as a transformational footballer.
Maguire accepts his apology
The video of Mr Adongo’s apology made the rounds on social media and eventually caught the attention of the 30-year-old who recently returned from international duty with England.
Maguire took the apology in good spirits, accepting it and even going a step forward to invite the African politician to the Theatre of Dreams.
