'He Loves Manchester United' – France legend opens up on Victor Osimhen's transfer saga
Manchester United's long-running interest in Victor Osimhen has received another intriguing twist after former Red Devils striker Louis Saha revealed that the Super Eagles star has a genuine emotional connection to the club.
Saha, who enjoyed a successful spell at Old Trafford and won multiple trophies with United, says Osimhen's admiration for the club is not based on transfer rumours or media speculation. According to the Frenchman, it is something he has witnessed personally.
With the Nigerian striker continuing to attract interest from some of Europe's biggest clubs, Saha believes Manchester United remains a destination that holds special significance for the prolific forward.
“Victor Osimhen told me he is a Man United super fan” - Saha
Speaking about his conversations with the Galatasaray striker, Saha said Osimhen has never hidden his affection for the Premier League giants.
“Victor Osimhen told me he is a Man United super fan," Saha told Mr Gamble.
The former France international went even further, insisting there is no doubt about the striker's feelings whenever the subject of Manchester United comes up.
He added, “I know for a fact that Victor Osimhen is a Manchester United fan. He loves Manchester United. I have seen it in his eyes, the impact the club has on him.
"Osimhen can be another player like Bruno Fernandes. He would quickly come to know the club inside and out. All United have to do is make the connection but that’s why it hasn’t happened yet. Osimhen is still waiting."
Beyond simply supporting the club, Saha believes Osimhen can already picture himself making a difference at Manchester United.
The former United striker suggested that the Nigerian views Old Trafford as a stage where he could have a significant impact.
“He sees the impact he could have on this team," he said.
The Super Eagles striker has become one of the most coveted attackers in European football after his prolific form for Galatasaray.
His consistent goal-scoring performances have attracted interest from several top clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal, while his reputation as one of Africa's elite forwards continues to grow.
