Transfers: Osimhen’s Arsenal deal gains momentum as Galatasaray edge closer to signing Eagles star
Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen could be edging closer to a big move to the Premier League champions, Arsenal, this summer.
Galatasaray eye Sarr to replace Osimhen?
Osimhen has been linked with a move away from Galatasaray, with Arsenal reportedly keen on bringing the Super Eagles star this summer to bolster their attacking options.
Although the Turkish champions have always maintained that their most-prized asset is not for sale, a deal could be in the making following their decision to go after Ismaïla Sarr.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sarr is edging closer to a move to Galatasaray after he was left out of Crystal Palace’s squad to face Everton in their Premier League opener on Saturday.
The Senegal international still has three years left on his contract with the Eagles, but he is keen on a move to Turkey. The Lions have reportedly had a €30m bid rejected by Palace but are expected to come back with an improved offer.
Sarr opens door for Osimhen to Arsenal
Sarr’s potential arrival could mean Galatasaray are bracing themselves for Osimhen’s departure to Arsenal this summer. The Gunners’ interest in Osimhen is serious, and it is expected to get more intense if Galatasaray sign Sarr.
However, should Galatasaray be pressured to sell, Arsenal will have to pay a fee in the region of €75m and above to sign the former Napoli striker.
The Lions have already rejected a bid of €130m from Al-Hilal but might consider a lower offer from Arsenal if Osimhen is eager to join the Gunners.
Osimhen only joined Galatasaray permanently last summer, having initially spent a season-long loan with the club. The Super Eagles striker still has about three years left on his contract with the Turkish club.
