‘They are truly special’ — Mikel Obi’s Russian wife hails Nigerian women

Olga Diyachenko, the wife of ex-Super Eagles and Chelsea legend, Mikel Obi, took to social media to give Nigerian women their flowers.

Following the visit of British royalty, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which made the headlines over the weekend, the wife of Mikel Obi took to social media to react.

Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, wrapped up a three-day tour of Nigeria on Sunday, May 13.

Prince Harry played a game of sitting volleyball with disabled athletes — all of them Nigerian army veterans.

While Meghan hosted a women's leadership event where she referenced her Nigerian ancestry for the second time during the trip.

Olga, the daughter of a Russian billionaire, posted a message on her Instagram stories.

Captioning a throwback post of her visit to her husband’s country in 2018, she wrote in a now-deleted post: “Nigerian women are truly very special”

Before then, she reposted a video of Meghan Markle giving a speech at a women’s leadership event where she made reference to her Nigerian ancestry, captioning it with a message that read: “I really how I saw it after my visit to Nigeria.”

Mikel Obi and Olga Diyachenko have been married for more than 8 years having met in January 2014, before the ex-Chelsea star proposed nearly a year later.

Olga is the daughter of Russian billionaire, Oleg Diyachenko.

She has more than 43,800 followers on her Instagram page, where share photos of her personal life and family.

The couple are blessed with two beautiful daughters.
