The Embassy of France in Nigeria has reaffirmed its strong commitment to the development of grassroots and youth football in Nigeria, following the successful completion of the U15 Football Tournament in Makurdi.

The competition, organised in collaboration with the Moses Simon Foundation and the Benue State Football Association, featured top young talents across the region.

Simoiben FC, who finished in third place, were specially hosted by the French Embassy in Abuja after the tournament.

French Embassy Welcomes Young Talents

During the visit, the players were warmly received by officials of the embassy, including Katty Regis, from the attached Cooperation department. Regis addressed the young athletes, emphasising the importance of discipline, focus, and dedication in their pursuit of a professional football career.

She urged them to remain committed to their dreams and to use their talents responsibly, reminding them that hard work and good character are essential ingredients for long-term success.
