Michelle Alozie becomes the 2nd most followed female Nigerian athlete on Instagram

The Super Falcons star's rise on social media continues having gained nearly 10,000 followers following her Independence Day brace for Houston Dash.

Super Falcons of Nigeria fan-favourite Michelle Alozie is enjoying a continued rise on social media.

The 26-year-old winger has been in the headlines since the FIFA Women’s World Cup took place months ago in Australia and New Zealand.

Alozie featured for Nigeria at the global showpiece and won the hearts of many supporters across the world due to her stunning looks and displays for the national team.

Pulse Sports reported that Alozie has gained over 80,000 followers on Instagram since July.

However, that number has now more than doubled over the last couple of weeks.

Alozie has now seen her Instagram following increase significantly in recent weeks.

Since the start of September Alozie had crossed the 200,000 follower-mark on the popular social network.

By the end of the third week of September, Alozie had maintained a steady count of followers summing up to 298,000.

However, the sexiest Nigerian female footballer 'alive' has finally crossed the 300,000 follower-mark and by some distance.

Following her brace for Houston Dash on October 1, Alozie has now seen her Instagram following grow to 307,000 followers and counting.

Essentially, she is now the second most-followed Nigerian female footballer on Instagram and second most-followed Nigerian female athlete behind Asisat Oshoala.

Alozie also sits comfortably amongst the list of most-followed female African athletes in the world, joining the likes of Ons Jabeur, Asisat Oshoala, and Tobi Amusan.
