Super Falcons ace Michelle Alozie has joined in the celebration of Nigeria’s independence, wishing her country of descent well on its 63rd year of sovereignty.

Alozie wishes Nigeria a happy independence

Despite being born and raised in the USA, Alozie is from Imo State in Nigeria and has never shied away from her roots.

Alozie opted to play for the Super Falcons and was part of the squad that was brilliant in the 2023 Women’s World Cup. She also has the Nigerian country code (+234) tattooed on her thighs.

As the country celebrates its 63rd year of independence from the British Crown today, October 31st, the Houston Dash fullback ensured to join in, with a picture where she donned a Nigerian jersey and was carrying the green-white-green flag of the country.
