Former Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano boasts of his goalscoring prowess, as he claims he is better than Manchester City's Erling Haaland.

Retired Brazilian striker Luis Fabiano has made a bold claim that he is more clinical than Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, stating that he will hit higher goalscoring milestones were he in Pep Guardiola’s team instead of the Norwegian.

Fabiano, 43, scored 229 during his playing career, across a number of clubs and competitions. He scored 28 of those goals in 45 goals for Brazil, five of which came in the 2009 FIFA Confederation Cup, in which he shined, and three in the 2010 World Cup, in which he was the main striker for the Selecao.

What Fabiano said

Haaland is the most lethal striker in the world, and his Gerd Muller trophy is proof. He scored 53 goals in all competitions last season, the most for any player.

Fabiano, however, is not impressed and believes that he will do a better job if he plays for Manchester City instead of the former Borussia Dortmund striker.

“I would break it [Haaland's goalscoring record]. With that team there? With all the opportunities he has? I would break his record,” he said, per ESPN UK.

“He had 30 [opportunities], and scored three. If I had 30, I'd score 10, 20! That's the difference.”

Meanwhile, the agent of Erling Haaland, Rafaela Pimenta, has shed light on the possibility of the Manchester City striker moving to Real Madrid in the future.
