Wake up. Welcome to reality.#AlHilal is the one and true champion 😎 pic.twitter.com/Ey8BZSyIeg
The performance to seal the title perfectly encapsulates their season. It was one of utter dominance, as they won the championship with three games to spare and a whopping 12 points gap over their closest rivals, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.
Jorge Jesus’s side successfully reclaimed the title with their triumph, after Al-Ittihad ended their run last season following three consecutive league wins.
The title was the 19th in their history—the most anyone has won the SPL—ten more than Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad with nine titles won.

Ronaldo denied for second season running
Al Hilal’s triumph means the league's biggest pull, Cristiano Ronaldo, continues his search for a first league title in the Saudi League into his third season.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner joined Al-Nassr from Manchester United midway through last season; however, despite his best efforts and goal contributions, the Faris Najd could not catch up with the raging Al-Ittihad.
Ronaldo has been excellent this season as well. He is set to win the Golden Boot, with 33 goals so far and is among the top assisters in the competition, but like last term, his efforts were insufficient to propel his team to glory.
