Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly plotting a £50 million offer for Brighton’s talented striker João Pedro.

The 23-year-old Brazilian has been impressive this season with 10 goals and six assists, catching the eye of several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Liverpool.

After missing Brighton’s recent 3-2 victory over Liverpool for what manager Fabian Hürzeler called “private reasons”—later revealed by The Athletic to be a training ground clash with teammate Jan Paul van Hecke—Brighton might be open to selling Pedro for around £59 million.

According to The Daily Mail, Chelsea held talks this week about a potential move for Pedro and are now ready to table a £50 million bid, possibly sweetening the deal with a player swap to lower the cost.

Meanwhile, the Blues have also been linked to Napoli's Victor Osimhen, with speculation growing, especially after ex-Chelsea star Mikel Obi suggested the Nigerian was the best option for Enzo Maresca.

However, it appears the Stamford Bridge club are unlikely to follow through with a move for Osimhen, largely due to the financial package involved.

Maresca’s team needs a win against Nottingham Forest on the final day of the Premier League season to secure a spot in Europe’s elite competition.
