This Wednesday, EA officially announced the list of songs that have been included in the FC 24 Soundtrack.

The list features a vast array of musical talents around the world with some big name music stars making the list including Grammy-Award-winning rappers Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, international record producer and DJ, Skrillex, Colombian popstar Karol G, and British music legends, The Rolling Stones, amongst others.

However, a notable omission from FC 24’s official soundtrack is the absence of an Afrobeats song.

Since 2021, Nigerian music has been a constant feature on EA’s soundtracks with the likes of Fireboy, Burna Boy, Rema, Olamide, BadBoy Timz, Pheelz, BNXN, amongst a few others debuting on the playlist.

However, EA seems to have taken a different approach with FC 24, although, one Nigerian is included in the playlist.

London-based Nigerian singer and songwriter Steven Umoh popularly known by his stage name “Obongjayar” debuted on EA’s soundtracks in FC 24 for his feature with London-based rapper Jeshi on the song “Protein” off the latter’s 2022 album Universal Credit.

Additionally, Dreamville’s magnificent duo Bas and J.Cole as predicted by Pulse Sports returned to EA’s soundtrack on FC 24 for their impressive collab “Passport Bros” which was released in July this year.

Although, Afrobeats has seemingly been exempted from EA FC 24’s global soundtrack, there are still high hopes for the Nigerian music genre ahead of the release of EA FC 24 VOLTA Football Soundtrack which will be also be made official soon.

What is the EA FC 24 VOLTA Football Soundtrack?

Basically, EA FC’s global soundtrack features massive new music from established artists and hot newcomers, while the VOLTA FOOTBALL soundtrack drives street action with the latest and greatest in grime, electronic and hip-hop.
