Victor Osimhen: Return date and number of games to miss determined for Super Eagles striker after Rwanda injury
Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen is reportedly expected to miss Galatasaray's match this weekend against Eyüpspor, along with their Champions League opening clash against Frankfurt, following his injury against Rwanda.
Games Osimhen will miss due to injury
As Pulse Sports reported, the 26-year-old was forced off injured in the first half of their World Cup qualifier clash against Rwanda.
He did not join the team for the trip to Saudi Arabia and travelled back to Istanbul for examination. After the tests, Galatasaray put out a statement, confirming that the Super Eagles star had suffered a moderate sprain (stretching and bleeding) in his ankle ligaments.
According to Haberdairesi, the Nigerian is currently expected to miss about two weeks of action. This will see him miss the game against Eyuspor and the Champions League clash against Frankfurt.
He is, however, expected to return for the home game against Konyaspor on September 22nd. The suggestions are that Okan Buruk would carefully reintegrate him. He will come off the bench for the match and will expectedly start subsequent matches, the report suggested.
Meanwhile, Former Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan has openly questioned the Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen's recent injury, suggesting it was a calculated move to benefit his new club, Galatasaray.
