The 26-year-old suffered an injury on international duty for the Super Eagles. As Pulse Sports reported, he returned to Istanbul on a private jet today to undergo tests. After the medical examination, Cim-Bom sent an update to their fans through a medical bulletin.

Galatasaray’s statement

The statement, signed by Galatasaray’s first team doctor Dr. Yener İnce, stated that Osimhen's injury was a moderate strain in his ankle ligaments and that his return to action will be determined by his recovery speed.

“In the examinations performed today at our sponsor hospital for our Football A Team player Victor Osimhen, a moderate sprain (stretching and bleeding) was detected in his ankle ligaments and the necessary treatment has been initiated in order for our football player to return to the field as soon as possible,” the statement read.

Galatasaray will return to Turkish Super Lig action on Saturday against Eyuspor. It remains to be seen whether Osimhen will be back in action for the match or their Champions League opener against Frankfurt on September 18th.
