We must not focus on just Osimhen, Lookman — Algeria star Zerrouki warns teammates
Eric Chelle's men have two of the tournament's best attackers in Victor Osimhen and Lookman, an attacking duo that can strike fear into any defence.
Algeria prepared for Super Eagles test
While acknowledging the danger posed by two of the tournament's most potent attackers, the Feyenoord player stressed that the Super Eagles' strength lies in their collective quality, not just individual brilliance.
"It's not only the two of them. All the players of Nigeria have their qualities. They are a good team," Zerrouki stated to reporters in Morocco.
He emphasized that Algeria is undertaking thorough preparations to counter the entire Nigerian squad, viewing the upcoming match as a significant challenge.
"So, we're going to prepare ourselves as good as possible to face them. And what I say, it's going to be a big game," he added.
The comments set the stage for Saturday's highly anticipated quarter-final clash.
The Super Eagles, led by Chelle, have maintained a perfect record in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations so far and will be looking to continue their winning streak against the North Africans to secure a spot in the semi-finals.
