The 23-year-old striker helped Bayer Leverkusen to their first Bundesliga title in their 120-year history, with this phenomenal displays that has already seen him earn the rookie of the 2023/24 season award.

Boniface returned to action on Saturday, in Leverkusen’s final league match of the campaign.

Xabi Alonso’s men recorded a 2-1 win against Augsburg at the Bay Arena with two first half goals from Boniface and Robert Andrich, before Mert Komur pulled one goal back in the second half.

Following the full-time whistle at the Bay Arena, jubilations erupted as the new champions were officially handed the Bundesliga trophy to celebrate their historic feat.

As expected, Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface joined the celebrations in style, repping his home nation with the Nigerian flag as he offered a rendition of his famous celebration with his teammates.

The victory against Augsburg now means Xabi Alonso’s side have successfully finished the 2023-24 league season as invincibles, going on an undefeated run in 34 league matches.

Leverkusen are now up to 51 matches unbeaten across all competitions this season with two finals to go, in the DFB Pokal, and the Europa League.
