“Tell your boyfriend to join us” — Beşiktaş fans BEG Saweetie over Jadon Sancho transfer amid dating rumours

The romance rumours between rapper Saweetie and Manchester United star Jadon Sancho have sparked something extraordinary – a full-blown transfer campaign, courtesy of fervent Beşiktaş supporters. 

Hours after Saweetie's electric performance at Oracle Park on August 17, where the San Francisco Giants hosted the Tampa Bay Rays in a 2-1 defeat, her social media post ignited a digital avalanche of Turkish fan affection. 

The online pleas reached a fever pitch after the "Icy Grl" star posted a simple two-eyes emoji on her X page with over 2.3 million followers, after her performance in San Francisco.

In a move that has gone viral, the "Come to Beşiktaş" campaign has shifted focus from Sancho himself to his rumoured girlfriend, Saweetie. 

The comments section and quote tweets were immediately flooded with messages from Beşiktaş fans, all urging the 32-year-old Grammy nominee to use her influence to secure a transfer for her new man. 

One fan wrote: "Hey young lady tell your man that he will live an unmatched experience here in Turkey but ONLY if he is concentrated on football. You'll experience heaven no matter what i can tell you that." 

Other messages were equally direct, with one fan begging, "Please let Sancho come to Türkiye, to Beşiktaş. We love Sancho very much and want him to come to us. He is an excellent football player." 

Another added: “Please let Sancho come to Türkiye, to Beşiktaş. We love Sancho very much and want him to come to us. He is an excellent football player.” 

One other comment read: “Come to Beşiktaş lady.. İstanbul is best city in the world.. We are waiting for you for new victories”

This all follows an earlier, overwhelming campaign where Sancho's own Instagram post was spammed with comments from Besiktas fans.

Sancho’s last Instagram post was overtaken by over 5 million comments urging him to “Come to Besiktas,”showcasing the sheer scale and dedication of the Turkish club’s fan base.

While the "Come to Beşiktaş" campaign is capturing headlines, it's the love story at its core that has truly captivated fans. 

The romance between Jadon Sancho and Saweetie has been brewing for months, with various sources piecing together the subtle and not-so-subtle clues. 

Pulse Sports earlier reported the first major hint came when "eagle-eyed fans" spotted a picture of Saweetie on Sancho's phone lock screen. 

This, coupled with Saweetie’s surprise visit to Stamford Bridge earlier in January, to watch Sancho play during his loan spell at Chelsea.

Before kickoff, Sancho and Saweetie were spotted pitchside at Stamford Bridge during the Premier League match against Bournemouth, sharing a warm embrace and sending social media into overdrive.

Sancho initially unfollowed Saweetie on Instagram after she didn’t return his follow for months, only to follow her back shortly later, and tease snaps suggesting he and Saweetie had spent the summer holiday together as reported by gossip outlet Glam Set & Match.

However, further confirmation came from a much more permanent gesture. 

TMZ Hip Hop first reported that Sancho got Saweetie's middle name, "Quiava," tattooed behind his ear, after the pair were photographed together at The Apollo Tattoo & Piercing Studio in Santa Monica.

The aforementioned outlet provided a clear glimpse into the moment as the report notes that they even ‘kissed in the shop and showed plenty of affection.’ 

 This bold move by Sancho was seen as a permanent declaration of his affection, and many fans already see it as irrefutable proof of their relationship. 

The public confirmation was then sealed when Saweetie officially followed Sancho back on Instagram, a move that delighted fans of the new power couple and left no doubt that the two are officially linked.

However, as at the time of this publication, neither Saweetie nor Sancho has publicly confirmed their relationship. 

Meanwhile, Saweetie continues her rising trajectory in her music career.

Beyond her performance at Oracle Park, she is currently promoting her new EP "Hella Pressure", with the summer anthem “Boffum” leading the campaign 

On the sporting front, Sancho’s future remains uncertain; interest reportedly spans clubs like Juventus, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and Roma, though Beşiktaş has become the most visually vocal suitor.

However, the transfer saga surrounding his future appears to have reached its final stages as Manchester United looks to offload the winger before the window closes. 

While a move to Beşiktaş is dominating social media, other clubs are still in the mix.

The Turkish club is the most vocal suitor, with president Serdal Adalı publicly confirming their interest.

"I want it as much as the club wants it," Adalı stated, acknowledging the fan campaign. 

“I’ve said this about other transfers as well. A player’s decision to come to Türkiye is crucial. We don’t have the luxury of buying every player we want for a large sum. We have a budget, too."

The club is reportedly working on a loan deal, which is seen as the most realistic option given Sancho's high wages.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, AS Roma has submitted a bid to sign Sancho on an initial loan with a £20 million obligation to buy.

 Manchester United are reportedly open to accepting this offer, as it's considered the "best proposal" they have received so far this summer.

 However, the deal is being held up as Sancho has yet to agree to personal terms, which would involve a significant wage cut.

The 25-year-old’s decision remains the crucial final step.
