Jadon Sancho appears to have taken a permanent, and highly significant step toward cementing what many believe is more than just casual flirtation with American rapper Saweetie, 32. 

According to TMZ Hip Hop, the 25-year-old Three Lions winger, who commands a staggering £300,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford, visited The Apollo Tattoo & Piercing Studio in Santa Monica this summer and emerged with Saweetie’s middle name ‘Qiava’ - inked discreetly behind his left ear.

More photos obtained by the outlet, shows Sancho and his rumoured girlfriend Saweetie seated together just moments before he gets his new ink.

And according to the outlet, Saweetie and Jadon were 'kissing in the shop and showing plenty of affection'.

Sancho’s latest tattoo appears to be a declaration of intimacy.

This latest gesture follows weeks of speculation that began piling up in May when eagle-eyed fans noticed a striking clue: Sancho’s phone lock screen featured a photo of Saweetie. 

Speculation intensified when Saweetie, whose real name is "Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper", was photographed pitchside hugging Sancho during a Chelsea Premier League match against Bournemouth earlier this year.

However, Sancho appeared to have cooled down the rumours when he suddenly unfollowed the rapper on Instagram - only to end up following her back on the platform days later.

Sancho recently shared a carousel post from his summer holiday, with eagle-eyed fans speculating Saweetie’s presence in one of the snaps on his Instagram page

The affectionate embrace at Stamford Bridge, coupled with the tattoo reveal, has many fans treating their connection as unofficial confirmation of romance.

Sancho’s new tatt has now spurred fervent discussion across social media, leading many to wonder whether the two are officially an item.

However, neither Sancho nor Saweetie have commented on the rumours as at the time of this publication.

For a footballer whose career has been marked by flashes of brilliance, spells of controversy, and a high-profile transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Man United, this is perhaps his boldest flashpoint yet off-the-pitch. 

Just as speculation over his personal life reached a fever pitch, Sancho's professional future has been thrust into sharp focus. 

ESPN reports that AS Roma has made a formal bid to secure the Manchester United star's services. 

The Serie A club are understood to have bid with an initial offer of a loan with an option to buy, with the total package valued at around £20 million.

 This move puts the ball squarely in Manchester United’s court, forcing a decision on the winger who has struggled to find consistent form at Old Trafford.

The transfer is not a done deal, but the official offer from the Italian side signals that both clubs are serious about getting a deal over the line.
