Super Eagles' Osayi Samuel agrees new almost ₦10.6 billion deal to continue playing for Jose Mourinho
After months of negotiations, Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi Samuel has reportedly agreed to Fenerbahce's terms over a contract renewal.
The 26-year-old joined the Yellow Canaries in the winter transfer window of 2021 and has seen his profile steadily rise in his time at the club, including becoming a Nigeria international.
Hence, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, Fenerbahce have been working hard to hand him a renewal before he becomes eligible to leave in a free transfer, as Premier League clubs like Crystal Palace are circling like sharks. They are now said to have reached an agreement after several weeks of negotiating.

Osayi Samuel's reported new deal
According to a report from Turkish newspaper Sozcu, relayed by Ntvspor.net, the former QPR defender has agreed to a two-year deal from Fenerbahce, with the option to extend for an additional year.
The Nigerian's wage demands were a major stumbling block in the progression of the negotiations, and according to the report, the Yellow Canaries seem to have budged, as he is set for a near-100% raise.
According to Capology, Osayi Samuel currently earns €57,692 weekly, which amounts to €3 million gross annually. This would mean the renewal would take his annual salary to almost €6 million, and he would become one of the top earners at the club.
