Spalletti outlines 3 secrets to Napoli’s Serie A success

Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti is yet to descend from cloud nine after leading the Partenopei to their first Serie A title in 33 years, but he has still been magnanimous enough to share some of the secrets of his trade.

Despite having five games left to play in the 2022/23 campaign, Napoli have already claimed the Scudetto, making history with the club’s first top-flight league title since 1990.

The mastermind behind the famous title, Spalletti, who incidentally became the oldest manager to win the Scudetto at 64 years and 58 days old, has been hailed for his incredible leadership of the team, and has in turn reveals what made the Serie A win possible.

After securing the 2022/23 Serie A title, Spalletti took to Instagram to celebrate his Napoli side, saying that they possessed the most important things required to win the league.

In a now deleted post on Instagram Spalletti said, “Three rules for being Champions: Passionate city… Fantastic players… And strong destinies! Thank you, lads, thank you Napoli!”

Napoli’s league win is the first in Spalletti’s Serie A career, and though the manager has reveled in it, he has also been keen to point out that this is not the end of Napoli’s journey, but the beginning, as the Partenopei eye further dominance.

The Naples side have played some eye-catching football under Spalletti, making them fan favourites, and they are tipped for more glory by pundits if they stick with the savvy manager and the core of their team.
