Salah's future at Anfield has been thrown into question following a public dispute with manager Arne Slot and the club.

The Egyptian star, who was left out of the squad for the recent 1-0 Champions League victory against Inter Milan, expressed frustration over his role and the team's recent performances.

The 33-year-old forward claimed he felt "thrown under the bus" after being an unused substitute during a 3-3 draw with Leeds, suggesting a breakdown in his relationship with the new manager.

Mugharbel addresses Salah’s speculation

Speaking at the World Football Summit in Riyadh, as reported by the Sun, Mugharbel addressed the speculation directly.

"Salah is welcome in the Saudi League, but it is the clubs that are responsible for negotiating with players," he stated. "For sure, Salah is one of them [a target]."

Despite Salah signing a contract extension last year that keeps him at Liverpool until 2027, the ongoing friction could pave the way for a departure.

Manager Arne Slot has remained firm in his stance and admitted he is uncertain if Salah will play for the club again.

With the January transfer window approaching, Salah is scheduled to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations after Liverpool's Premier League match against Brighton this Saturday.

His participation in that game remains in doubt after he posted photos of himself training alone while the team was in Italy.
