Chelsea have reportedly contacted AC Milan for the signing of Rafael Leao in the summer transfer window, as they are keen on bolstering their offensive ranks.
The 25-year-old joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2019 and has established himself as one of the most important players in the club's recent history, leading them to the Scudetto in the 2021/22 season.
Throughout his time at the club, Leao, given his immense talent, has regularly been linked with an exit. Chelsea were keenly interested some summers ago, but Leao penned a long-term contract extension. The Blues are said to have returned.

The details
According to a report from Calciomercato’s Daniele Longo, the Blues leadership are interested in Leao’s talents and have contacted his representatives to discuss a possible move.
Leao is represented by super agent Jorge Mendes, who Chelsea have a business relationship with. Mendes helped negotiate Joao Felix’s loan move from Chelsea to Milan in January, and the Blues are said to be leveraging the contract to explore a possible move for Leao.
Any move for the Portugal international is expected to be capital intensive, as Leao has a contract until 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €75 million, but Milan are expected to demand significantly higher for his talent.
