Remo Stars win LaLiga U-15 promises as Yusuf makes history

Remo Stars academy boys Beyond Limits have been crowned champions of the 2023 NPFL and LaLiga U-15 Promises.

Beyond Limits defeated Plateau United’s Mees Palace1-0 to make it back-to-back wins in the NPFLU-15 competition on Friday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Remo youngster Opeyemi Yusuf was the day's hero after he netted the decisive goal in the second half to inspire the No Limits boys to the win.

Beyond Limits proved they are the best in the country following another brilliant out in the LaLiga event.

Inspired by the excellent Yusuf, Beyond Limits dug deep to overcome their counterparts from Jos thanks to their prodigiously talented forward.

Yusuf’s decisive goal against Mees in the final was his 10th of the competition and saw him become the competition’s highest-ever scorer.

The Remo boy has now surpassed the record set by Rangers International star Million Coma whose nine goals scored in the first edition have now been broken by Remo’s Yusuf.

It took Yusuf six matches to score 10 goals to emerge as the top scorer of the 2023 NPFL U-15 tournament.
