Lamine Yamal: Barcelona’s €140m talent gains over 9 million followers following Euros triumph
Lamine Yamal has not stopped making the headlines after stealing the spotlight at the just-concluded Euro 2024.
The 17-year-old attacking sensation currently worth over €140 million as per CIES Observatory , shone brightly for Spain as they defeated England in the Berlin finals to crown themselves as European champions over the weekend.
Lamine has been in the headlines over his relationship with a young lady named Alex Padilla, both of whom have recorded exponential growth in their social media accounts.

The 2006-born student based in Barcelona has seen her TikTok account grow by over 700,000 followers and counting since the pair were first linked together weeks ago.
Yamal on the other hand has also seen his Instagram following increase significantly between the start of the tournament in Germany on June 14 and the final, a month later.
Lamine Yamal’s Instagram following has grown by over 8 million and counting since the start of the tournament, Pulse Sports reports.
Before the start of the tournament, Yamal had 7.3 million followers on Meta’s platform.
However, three days after helping Spain win the finals at the Olympiastadion, Lamine’s following has grown to 16.1 million followers, surpassing even his Barcelona teammate Pedri (13.8 million), on the platform.
For his sensational performances at the German showpiece, Lamine Yamal was awarded the best young player of the tournament.
On Wednesday, Barcelona also confirmed Lamine Yamal will have a new jersey number, with the teenage sensation choosing to wear the no.19 jersey as from the 2024/25 season.
Lamine has now followed in the footsteps of his idol Lionel Messi, who also wore the same number for Barcelona in his early years at the Catalan club.
