Dorgu scored United’s second goal against the Gunners, a strike that survived a controversial VAR handball check to silence the Emirates.

Initially signed as a defender, he has been cooking as a wide attacker in recent weeks, filling the void left by AFCON departures.

After the Arsenal win, United boss Michael Carrick hailed Dorgu’s work rate as "immense," adding, “I wouldn’t want to pin him down because he can do both (defend and attack).

For Dorgu, receiving a shout-out from Ighalo is no small feat. Ighalo, the first Nigerian to ever play for Manchester United, knows exactly what it means to wear the iconic red shirt and handle the Manchester pressure.

Despite a slight injury scare (cramps) that saw him subbed off in the 81st minute against Arsenal, Dorgu is expected to be fit for United’s next clash. With four goal involvements in his last six matches, he is officially the most in-form youngster at the club.
