It's not ideal – Super Falcons 'fan favourite' Michelle Alozie reacts after Super Eagles WCQ defeat against Zimbabwe

Super Falcons star Michelle Alozie has weighed in on the Super Eagles’ frustrating 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. 

The result, which has left Nigeria’s hopes of qualifying hanging in the balance, has sparked widespread criticism from fans and analysts alike.

Alozie, widely considered the 'hottest Nigerian female footballer', took to Snapchat to share her thoughts on the match. 

In response to a fan who sought her opinion on the game, the 27-year-old Houston Dash winger maintained a hopeful outlook. 

“Not ideal, but they are still in the WC race! Rooting for them,” she wrote on Snapchat.

Her reaction comes amid growing frustration from Nigerian supporters, many of whom were left disappointed by the team’s failure to secure maximum points at home. 

The Super Eagles had entered the fixture with high expectations, following a commanding 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali. 

Victor Osimhen eventually broke the deadlock in the 74th minute, connecting with a precise low cross from Ola Aina to nod home the opener. 

However, the joy was short-lived as Zimbabwe struck back in stoppage time.

 A defensive lapse allowed Tawanda Chirewa to beat goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali at his near post, silencing the Uyo crowd.

The result has heightened concerns over Nigeria’s qualification campaign.

As the Super Eagles prepare for their next challenge, Alozie’s support echoes the sentiment of many hopeful fans, but Eric Chelle’s team must now deliver results on the pitch to keep their World Cup dream alive.
