Osimhen is one of the most coveted centre-forward talents in the game and has been on the radar of Saudi Pro League clubs, chiefly Al Ahli, the club that tabled an official bid for him last summer.

Al Ahli’s failed move for Osimhen

They offered a salary worth around €25-30 million a season and even had a release clause included in the deal. However, Osimhen, with his heart set on European football, did not put pen to paper.

He did not eventually get a dream move to a choice European club and now plies his trade in Turkey with Galatasaray. However, the summer will see multiple clubs attempt to acquire his talents and with Jaissle’s latest comments, Al Ahli are expected to return for him.

What Jaissle said

The German coach was recently asked about Osimhen and Ahli’s links to him. In his answer, he expressed admiration for the Nigerian, tagging him a first-rate striker.

"Osimhen is a player I like very much. He is a first-class striker. He is still at the top level and can play in any team. That's enough,” Jaissle said, per GsGazette.

With the acquisition of Alvaro Morata, Galatasaray are believed to have paused their pursuit for a permanent signing of Osimhen. They had a €65 million bid rejected by Napoli, and it remains to be seen whether they will commit to a second bid.
