Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has opened up about his match-day music ritual, revealing the songs that help him stay focused before stepping onto the pitch.

In a recent interview with the Smallie YouTube Channel, the Nigerian international said music has played an important role in his football journey from a young age.

“Growing up, I already had it in my mind that football is what I want to do,” Osimhen said.

He added, “Most of the time, I listen to Olamide. I also listen to Nas and Damian Marley; ‘Strong Will’ continues to motivate me.”

Osimhen highlighted Damian Marley’s “Strong Will” as one of his most important pre-match tracks, describing it as a source of inspiration before kick-off.

“It’s a really motivating song for me when I’m going for a match, so these have been a few of my rituals,” he added.

When asked about his favourite Olamide track, the Super Eagles forward mentioned “King Sh!t,” noting that the message in the lyrics resonates deeply with him.

“Don’t worry about tomorrow, forget your sorrow, forget about the shoes and clothes you borrowed,” Osimhen quoted.
