The injury necessitated surgery, which was successfully performed shortly after the incident happened and expected to have a recovery period of five to six weeks

Despite the severity of the fracture, an ambitious return date has been set, with Osimhen reportedly targeting the high-stakes Intercontinental Derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26.

Following an initial period of rest and treatment, the club's latest statement indicates that the 27-year-old is progressing well.

The forward has begun individual indoor training sessions as he works his way back from a significant injury, according to reports.

While his teammates prepared for their upcoming league fixture against Trabzonspor with on-field drills and practice games, Osimhen was engaged in a personalised indoor program, a crucial step before he can rejoin the main group.

Head coach Okan Buruk and the medical staff are carefully managing his rehabilitation, ensuring no unnecessary risks are taken with his return to play.

Before he can be cleared for action, Osimhen must advance from his current indoor work to outdoor drills and eventually full-contact training. It is expected that upon his return, he will wear a protective splint on his arm for added safety.

Osimhen would still miss several key league and cup matches. However, his availability for one of the most significant fixtures in the Turkish football calendar could be a decisive factor for Galatasaray, especially with the title race expected to go down to the wire.
