In what can be described as a game of two halves, the hosts started strongly and were comfortable 2-0 leaders at the break after goals from former Manchester City star Leroy Sane and Osimhen.

However, not to go down without a fight, the stubborn visitors found a way back in a blistering second half display to shock the home side after coming from behind to cancel out Galatasaray’s two-goal lead.

Samsunspor scored in the 56th and 88th minute to equalise at 2-2, with the visitors looking poised to leave Rams Park with a share of the spoils.

However, in typical fashion, Osimhen was not done as he produced the goal of the day in added time, a bicycle kick inside the box, for his second of the day and the winner to seal a decisive victory for the defending champions.

With the double against Samsunspor, the reported Real Madrid target who was criticised for his performance against Fenerbahce in the derby, has now scored double figures in goals for Galatasaray this season.

In 14 matches across competitions this season, the 26-year-old Napoli icon has scored 11 goals, six of them in the Champions League and five in the Super Lig.

Despite the impressive record, Osimhen is still some way behind his compatriot, Paul Onauchu, who leads the Lig chart with 11 goals this season.
