Ex-Liverpool star reveals the job Klopp will return to coaching for
Former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise is confident that the England national team job could tempt Jurgen Klopp out of retirement, as he believes the German admires the role.
Another German, Thomas Tuchel, is the current England manager; however, his contract expires after the World Cup next year, and he is expected to leave the role to return to club football.
Klopp was linked to the job after Gareth Southgate’s exit and before Tuchel was hired; however, the former Borussia Dortmund boss showed no interest in returning to coaching at the time. However, there are speculations that he could miss being in the dugout when the Three Lions job becomes available again.

What Riise said
Riise, who played for Liverpool from 2001 to 2008, believes coaching the Reds took a toll on Klopp, which led to his retirement at the end of the 2023/24 season. He speculated that Klopp would return to coaching through international football and cited the England job as the most likely avenue.
"If he does come back, I think he'll come back as a national team manager somewhere,” he said, per Goal. I don't think he's going to be a manager for a club. I think he would love the England job at one stage. But I see him as a national team manager because that's not as intense as being a club manager."
"Jurgen Klopp loves life, he loves what he's doing; he has passion for whatever he's doing. I would love to see him back, obviously, because of the energy and who he is, but at the same time, his legacy now is high.
He's done so well for Dortmund and for Liverpool, and I can't see that he can do even better at another club. So he might just be happy that 'I'm there now and I did what I did' and do other things.
“But anyway, I do think his job at Liverpool cost him a lot; he was mentally and physically drained because he put everything he had into that job, basically all his energy."
Meanwhile, Klopp is currently Red Bull's Head of Global Football, effectively overseeing the sporting arm of the clubs under the multi-club group. He recently said that he did not miss coaching and was happy in his current role.
