Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes was highly critical of the squad following the disappointing result against Galatasaray, where they let a two-goal lead slip twice in the match.

Even though the Red Devils had twice taken a two-goal lead in the match, they were held to a 3-3 draw at Rams Park by Galatasaray, which hurt their chances of qualifying for the Champions League knockout stage.

Alejandro Garnacho gave the visitors the lead in the eleventh minute, and Bruno Fernandes doubled it seven minutes later. However, Hakim Ziyech gave the home team a response just before halftime.

Scott McTominay gave the team a two-goal lead again in the 55th minute, but goals by Ziyech in the 62nd and Kerem Akturkoglu in the 71st minute meant that the points were shared.

What Bruno Fernandes said

"We have to understand in these types of games and stages, we have to be smart enough and manage the game better," Bruno Fernandes told TNT, per the BBC.

"Everyone has to step up and take responsibility for their own mistakes. Now we don't depend on ourselves but it is what it is.

"We were on top of the game twice and we had far too many chances to have the game closed. We were not clinical enough.

"What we have been doing in the Champions League is not enough. It is not the first game we've had like this. We have to secure the result."
