Kobbie Mainoo: England and Ghana to fight over Manchester United wonderkid
The Football Association, FA, has expressed the belief that Manchester United youngster Kobbie Mainoo will choose England over Ghana.
Mainoo became the latest sensation from Manchester United after he made his full senior debut for the Reds in a 3-0 win against Everton on Sunday.

The 18-year-old proved to be a difference maker as United thrashed the troubled Toffees at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
Mainoo impressed for 72 minutes before he was substituted in the game that saw another Academy star, Alejandro Garnacho, score a goal-of-the-century contender.
Following his excellent performance, the talented central midfielder has become the subject of an international war between England and Ghana.
England and Ghana
While Mainoo has already represented England at junior level, having featured for the under-19s, he remains eligible for Ghana’s Black Stars.
However, according to a Daily Mail report, the FA are convinced that Ghana stands no chance as Mainoo remains committed to the English national team.
The young Red is said to have impressed coaches at the national level with his professionalism and work-ethic.
His impressive dedication has earned him the description of a ‘super professional’ and believe he is ready to be drafted to the under-21s.
The highly-rated United youngster could have a battle on his hands if he decides to settle for the Three Lions rather than the Black Stars.
England already have the likes of Declan Rice, Jude Bellingham and Kelvin Philips in that defensive midfield role.
But whatever the case, Mainoo’s immediate interest will be on getting more game with Manchester United, with international football on break until March next year.
