Adesanya on Nigeria vs Ghana jollof rivalry

Following colonization by the British Empire, the two western African nations of Nigeria and Ghana both declared English to be their official languages.

Over the years, there has been a rivalry of sorts between Ghana and Nigeria.

The rivalry between the two nations sparks interesting discussions on social media on anything from football between the Black Stars of Ghana and the Super Eagles of Nigeria to food.

Adesanya's response to Ghana vs Nigeria jollof rice rivalry

Adesanya responded to a question by Schulz about jealousy as a Nigerian based on the recent growth of Ghana.

The UFC champion, who recently dropped his Style Bender documentary film, debunked jealous claims and then talked about the superiority of Nigerian jollof rice.

He said, "We ain't jealous also jollof rice came from Nigeria."

Adesanya was then asked by Schulz about a chicken skewer dish from Nigeria.

Adesanya explained that it was Suya made from Goat meat and it is one that he takes.

He responded, "So yeah no no it's not chicken it's normally goat meat or beef nose.

"It's like hey you are what you eat alhamdulillah oh 

"Suya is the best food that's my favorite food on the planet because also I've had it in America."

Adesanya also recently expressed interest in streaming giant Netflix being the top bidder for his well-received documentary on Twitter.

Adesanya, after his victory against Brazilian MMA star Alex Pereira in his last outing, is expected to return to the Octagon before the end of the year.

Adesanya will likely face the winner of the eliminator between South African MMA star Dricu Du Plessis and Robert Whittaker later this year in Australia.
