Only two Ferrari drivers have secured pole positions in five consecutive seasons: seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher and Charles Leclerc.
The legendary German driver boasts a considerably longer streak, claiming pole positions from 1996 to 2006, a period that saw him lose the championship for the second consecutive year to the rising star of Renault, Fernando Alonso.
Leclerc is following in Schumacher's footsteps with pole positions in five straight seasons, from 2021 to 2025.
However, he is yet to win a race this season, and Ferrari is trailing behind McLaren.
Leclerc's Season So Far
Charles Leclerc's 2025 Formula 1 season has been a story of both flashes of brilliance and frustrating inconsistency for Ferrari.
While the team showed promising pace at times, Leclerc has yet to secure a victory.
He currently sits fifth in the drivers' championship with five podium finishes and one pole position.
The season has been a mix of strong qualifying performances, including a standout pole lap in Hungary, and challenging race days where the car's performance has at times let him down.
Despite performing better than his teammate Lewis Hamilton, Leclerc has acknowledged that he still has work to do to reach his full potential, and he and the team are focused on finding the pure performance needed to challenge the top contenders.
