Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala has endeared himself to Nigerian fans by revealing his love for one of the nation's most classic dishes - fufu.

The 21-year-old midfielder, who represents Germany internationally, made the confession during a recent light-hearted video interview on How Hungry Are You.

When asked to rate his hunger levels, Musiala responded cheekily: "After eating fufu." in a video posted on TikTok.

His comments were a nod to the doughy West African dish made from fermented cassava widely enjoyed across Nigeria.

While he may have pledged his allegiance to Germany at senior international level, Musiala's loving reference to fufu highlights the deep Nigerian roots that he still embraces.

The Bayern star was born in Stuttgart to a Nigerian father, giving him dual nationality and eligibility to represent the Super Eagles.
