Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino believes Mhikaylo Mudryk will eventually come good for Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino calls for calm from fans, as he has assured them that Mhykailo Mudryk will turn out to be a success for the Blues.

Chelsea signed Mudryk last season for a reported €70 million, but he has struggled to justify the price tag.

He has only started eight league games this season, including Chelsea’s latest game, the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea, in which he came off the bench to put up a good performance.

What Pochettino said

Speaking after the game, the Argentine manager explained that Mudryk needed time and that he is confident the Ukraine international will become a difference-maker for the West London side.

“Trust me, Mudryk’s going to be a very important player. Give him some time,” Pochettino said, per Fabrizio Romano.

“He’s already an important player,  but he’s going to improve a lot because the potential is massive. We are happy with him and his development.”

Meanwhile, ex-West Ham and Newcastle goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has advised Napoli striker Victor Osimhen on the best decision for his future.

Osimhen has been linked with a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window after a turbulent start to the season with Napoli.

However, former West Ham goalie Hislop believes Osimhen should push for bigger moves instead of settling for Chelsea.
