Antonio Cassano has urged Napoli to swiftly secure the signing of Ademola Lookman, viewed as the perfect replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who joined Paris Saint-Germain in January.
The former Real Madrid striker believes the Nigerian star’s profile will strengthen Napoli’s attack.
Cassano praised Lookman's flair and Serie A experience with Atalanta, stating,
“Signing Lookman Ademola would be a sensational move.
He runs, he scores, he provides assists, and a great manager like Gian Piero Gasperini coaches him.”
Meanwhile, Pulse Sports reported that other European clubs, including LaLiga giants Atlético Madrid, are reportedly engaging in talks with Lookman’s representatives, intensifying the race for his signature.
The 27-year-old has a contract with Atalanta that expires next summer, although there's an option to extend for 12 months. Still, it makes sense to do a deal now, allowing the team to reinvest, and the forward to take his game to the next level.
Lookman scored 20 goals in all competitions for Atalanta last season, and has established himself as one of the best players in his position.
