Lookman to LALIGA?

The Rojiblancos mean business this summer, and after already signing Alex Baena from Villarreal, Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis and Matteo Ruggeri from Atalanta, they are still active in the market.

Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo reported that the Diego Simeone-led side are searching for a wide forward and have identified Lookman as an ideal signing.

The Madrid-based outfit are contemplating making a move for the Nigerian and will have a slight advantage over his other suitors, as they have already negotiated with Atalanta this summer.

Lookman's other suitors

La Dea are said to have pegged Lookman's going price at €40-50 million, a fee Atletico Madrid are unwilling to match, as they are hoping to spend a chunk of their budget this summer on signing Christian Romero from Tottenham.

Arsenal are also interested in Lookman, but as Pulse Sports reported, the Gunners would prefer to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid. The CAF Player of the Year is also liked by Serie A champions Napoli, and with the recent disappointment of Nico Williams, Lookman's name has resurfaced again in Barcelona circles.
