Antony settling nicely

The Ajax winger was thrust into the starting lineup by Manuel Pellegrini immediately he was available for selection.

Antony endeared himself to his new fanbase from the jump, generating the first goal in the 2-2 draw against Athletic Club.

He scored the two matches following his debut, the 3-2 defeat to Celta Vigo and last night's 3-0 triumph over Gent in the Conference League.

What Antony said

Antony is sewing up remarkable performances together, a feat he could not manage at Manchester United, which has left some fans of the club feeling shortchanged.

Antony, however, is enjoying what seems to be a rebirth after struggling in his two-and-a-half years at Old Trafford. Following the game at Ghelamco Arena, he expressed his happiness and dedicated the victory to the fans.

“In my heart, I knew that I would be very happy at Betis; I was sure about that,” Antony said, per Fabrizio. “This win goes for the fans; they never stop supporting us.”
