The Nigeria internationals are back from Morocco and ready to fire struggling Sevilla out of their nightmare slump.
AFCON 2025 may be in the rear-view mirror, but for Super Eagles stars Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke, the REAL battle begins NOW.
The Nigerian duo return to LaLiga action this Saturday as Sevilla host Athletic Club at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, and boy, do they need their African stars firing on all cylinders.
While Barcelona and Real Madrid slug it out at the summit, with Los Blancos just one point behind and playing first this weekend, most Super Eagles fans will have their eyes glued to Seville, where two of their AFCON warriors look to drag their club out of the mire.
Neither Sevilla nor Athletic have tasted victory in their last FOUR matches, meaning Saturday's clash between two of Spain's most historic clubs has suddenly become a must-win scrap at the wrong end of the table.
But there's hope for the Andalusians and his name is Akor Adams.
The 25-year-old striker announced his return from Morocco in style, smashing a brace against Elche to rescue a point and end a dismal run of four straight defeats.
Now Sevilla fans are praying the red-hot forward can translate that form into three precious points.
Adams and Ejuke have both been named in manager Matias Almeyda's 22-man squad, with the Argentine boss desperately needing his African stars to deliver the goods.
"The team is showing a fighting spirit and a desire to never give up," Almeyda declared and he'll need every ounce of that spirit against an Athletic side buzzing after their sensational Champions League victory over Atalanta and AFCON Best XI star Ademola Lookman.
But the big question heading into the game is, can the Super Eagles duo inspire Sevilla's revival? Saturday night will tell us EVERYTHING.
