The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has officially unveiled its Team of the Tournament for AFCON 2025, with three Super Eagles stars earning spots in the prestigious lineup.
Following Nigeria’s third-place finish in Morocco, defender Calvin Bassey and forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman were recognised for their standout individual performances.

Nigeria defender Calvin Bassey said the Super Eagles remain motivated to secure a bronze medal at AFCON 2025 ahead of Saturday’s third-place playoff against Egypt in Casablanca.
Nigeria’s representation in the final XI is equal to that of tournament champions Senegal, providing a strong sense of validation for the squad's quality despite their semifinal exit.
