Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole propelled the Warriors to a 130-115 win over San Antonio on Friday night, improving to 41-37 on the season.

The Golden State Warriors continued their late-season menacing form with a hard-fought crucial win over the San Antonio Spurs at a lively Chase Centre.

They are now tied with the Clippers for the fifth seed in the Western Conference and 1.5 games ahead of the Lakers for the sixth seed.

How it happened

Things got off to an ugly start for the Warriors on the offensive end as they recorded five turnovers in the first five minutes while failing to make a single three-point attempt in that time.

Steph Curry eventually knocked down a triple with 7:53 left in the second quarter to get things going.

San Antonio stayed in the game for large parts and created some separation after building a nine-point lead on the back of the Warriors early struggles but that was far from enough.

As soon as the Dubs got rolling, it was hard for anyone to stop them, let alone a team destined for the lottery.

Jordan Poole was at his compelling best, producing a highlight package worthy of the Chase Centre admission.

Poole did the simple things, backed by better shot selection. He finished with 27 points including 6 threes and a healthy 6 assists.

Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 64 points, shooting the lights out and reminding everyone why they’re such a dangerous proposition when they get in the groove.

The Warriors will now head back on the road, heading to Denver to face the Nuggets on Sunday. With the playoffs on the horizon, can the Dubs finally start getting some wins on the road?
