Anthony Davis put up a game-high 38 points but twisted his ankle to leave the Lakers coaching staff sweating over his fitness as the season heads into crunch time.
LeBron James had one of those really off games, as he struggled with his shooting throughout, failing to punish turnovers and open looks.
Davis continued his splendid form, putting up 38 points on 15-of-26 shooting while adding 17 rebounds and two crucial blocks.
Despite being below his best, LeBron contributed 10 rebounds and six assists, to go with his 18 points.
The Timberwolves actually led by 10 at halftime, but the Lakers came out of the break and produced a 35-18 third period to snatch control of the contest.
Anthony Davis then took over as the contest was hanging in the balance, to really force the matter and create sepepration for the Lakers for a crucial win.
