Brighton celebrates Chiamaka Nnadozie's WAFCON triumph and Yachine Trophy nomination
Brighton & Hove Albion have officially welcomed Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
Nnadozie reported to Brighton on Thursday, August 14, 2025 ahead of the new Women's Super League (WSL) season.
Nnadozie welcomed to Brighton
Nnadozie was introduced to the team after an applause by the Head Coach.
She was then celebrated for leading the Super Falcons of Nigeria to win the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
At the tournament, Nnadozie, who earned the Golden Glove as the best goalkeeper.

She then was celebrated for her nomination for the prestigious Yachine Trophy.
The coach said, "Firstly, I think important to say welcome.
"So firstly welcome, and secondly, congratulations on a fantastic achievement to become champions of Africa.
"Hopefully with us we can also win some silverware, add some more.
"Also congratulations on the nomination for a goalkeeper of the year.
"So if that's another award that will come your way. Everyone's excited for you to be here."
Nnadozie made the switch from Paris FC to Brighton before the WAFCON and is set for a new adventure in England.
