A total of 13 Super Eagles players are now in camp in Uyo as preparations intensify for Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and South Africa.
The first set of arrivals, Captain William Troost-Ekong, Amas Obasogie, Felix Agu, and Raphael Onyedika, checked into the team’s base at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel on Monday.
According to team media officer Promise Efoghe, nine more players joined the squad on Tuesday morning.
They include Alex Iwobi, Calvin Bassey, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Ola Aina, and Bright Osayi-Samuel. Others on the list are Moses Simon, Chidozie Awaziem, Adebayo Adeleye, and Benjamin Fredericks.
The remaining 10 players are expected to arrive later today to complete the roster.
The Super Eagles will hold their first official training session tonight at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, as head coach Finidi George begins fine-tuning tactics for the crucial qualifiers.
Nigeria will host Rwanda in Uyo before travelling to face South Africa, with the fixtures seen as key tests in their bid to secure an early ticket to the 2026 World Cup.
