Xavi Simons set for loan move despite Manchester United and Bayern Munich interest
Netherlands international Xavi Simons is set to rejoin RB Leipzig despite interest from European giants Manchester United and Bayern Munich, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Simons, who is still contracted to Paris Saint-Germain, impressed at Euro 2024, helping the Netherlands reach the semi-finals and scoring a stunning goal against England.

Simons has also informed Bayern in the recent hours, he’s returning to Leipzig… despite Premier League clubs late calls.
As revealed in April, it will be loan move. NO buy clause. pic.twitter.com/kjZKk8GDw0
He excelled at Leipzig last season, scoring eight goals and providing 13 assists last season, followed by three assists and a goal at Euro 2024.
He will now return to the German club, where he will have the opportunity to play Champions League football and build on last season's last-16 exit to Real Madrid.
Leipzig has also secured the services of striker Benjamin Sesko for another season, while Lois Openda, who was only outscored by Harry Kane and Serhou Guirassy in the 2023/24 Bundesliga, remains a key player for the team.
Simons' return is expected to strengthen Leipzig's squad as they aim to improve on last season's performance.
