In the second half, Super Falcons of Nigeria star Gift Monday sealed the win with a decisive strike in the 58th minute.

Monday, who started the game and showcased her midfield mastery, was taken off in the 74th minute for Heather Stainbrook.

She was absent from the Super Falcons squad for their recent international friendly win against Cameroon.

It was another impressive showing for Monday who continues to adapt to the Washington Spirit following her move from Costa Adeje Tenerife earlier this year.

She is expected to make the Super Falcons squad for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations.
