Nigerian football sensation Asisat Oshoala made a striking impression both on and off the pitch as Bay FC secured a 1-0 victory over the Portland Thorns FC.

The match, part of Bay FC's Pride Night celebration was an opportunity for Oshoala to show off her cultural roots with a traditional Nigerian attire before the game.

Oshoala showcased her versatility by appearing in an agbada and trousers fitted snugly at the ankle.

As a Muslim, Oshoala's decision to wear the traditional outfit was also a celebration of the Salah holidays, adding a layer of personal and religious significance to her appearance.

On the field, Oshoala was named in the starting lineup, ready to lead Bay FC's charge against the Portland Thorns but in the 33rd minute received a yellow card.

As the game progressed, Oshoala's role remained crucial until the 71st minute, when she was substituted for Zambian forward Racheal Kundananji.

The decisive moment came in the 39th minute when defender Alyssa Malonson scored the only goal of the game, assisted by forward Penelope Hocking.

This goal secured Bay FC's third straight unbeaten result, ending Portland Thorns FC's five-match unbeaten streak.
