Victor Osimhen: Galatasaray make stance clear on Super Eagles star amid exit rumours
Galatasaray insider Arda Ozkurt has rubbished mounting speculation regarding Victor Osimhen’s future with the Turkish champions.
Despite intense rumours linking the Nigerian goal machine with a summer move to a number of Europe's top sides, Galatasaray's message is clear: their star striker is not for sale.
Osimhen, who initially joined Galatasaray on loan in 2024, saw his stay made permanent last summer in a record-breaking deal.
The 27-year-old is currently under contract with RAMS Park through June 30, 2029. However, his explosive form, scoring 37 goals last season and tallying 15 goals in 21 matches across all competitions this season, has naturally caught the eye of Europe’s elite.
Barcelona, in particular, are reportedly viewing the former African Footballer of the Year as the ideal successor to Robert Lewandowski.
Galatasaray to keep Osimhen despite mounting interest
Addressing these claims, Özkurt revealed he had sought direct clarification from the Galatasaray hierarchy. In quotes relayed by habersarikirmizi.com, he stated:
"I asked Galatasaray if they had any interest in Victor Osimhen. The answer was, 'We haven't received any offers, and we have no intention of selling him.'"Özkurt further emphasized that the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Boot winner is settled in Istanbul.
"Osimhen has no plans to leave either. Those who are spreading these rumors do not have good intentions."
Osimhen himself has shown no inclination to leave, often referencing his deep connection with Galatasaray fans.
As the Turkish giants continue to lead the Super Lig title race, keeping the Super Eagles talisman remains the club's top priority. For now, any talk of a move to La Liga appears to be nothing more than outside noise.
