Veteran sports commentator Şansal Büyüka has cautioned Galatasaray against their growing dependence on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, suggesting the team's attack is becoming dangerously one-dimensional.

Osimhen has become a household name in Turkey since his arrival, having lit up Galatasaray with his presence.

The Super Eagles star has been the star player in the team since completing his move from Napoli in the summer.

Osimhen's individual performance has been outstanding this season, with the forward netting 15 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions.

Büyüka warns Galatasaray

While Osimhen has been in prolific form, Büyüka argues that the club's historical success has been built on collective strength, not just individual brilliance.

During an appearance on the Sports Digitale YouTube channel, as reported by habersarikirmizi.com, Büyüka analysed Galatasaray's recent tactical evolution.

He believes that relying too heavily on one player, however effective, is a high-risk strategy. He noted a positive shift away from their dependency on the Super Eagles star.

"In the last one or two matches, Galatasaray seemed to have somewhat overcome their dependence on Osimhen," Büyüka observed. "This is an extremely important development for Galatasaray."

The commentator highlighted that this move towards a more balanced attacking approach could yield significant long-term advantages.

It would not only make the team less predictable for opponents but also alleviate the immense pressure on Osimhen to deliver in every match.

"There's a rapid shift from one man to a team," Büyüka explained, emphasising the importance of this change. "This will greatly benefit Galatasaray."

Drawing on past observations, he issued a stark reminder of the potential pitfalls of their previous approach. "We've seen before that focusing solely on Osimhen causes serious problems," he stated.
